We're combining juicy, smoky chicken with fresh, crisp veggies and creamy mayo that will make this smoker recipe your new go-to lunch favorite.
You can serve this smoked chicken salad on its own or make a delicious chicken salad sandwich.
How To Make Smoked Chicken Salad
To start, of course, you'll need some smoked chicken. Check out our smoked chicken breast recipe.
Then we're chopping up our chicken, and mixing it with some veggies, mayo, and a few other fixings.
Once you have your chicken, it all comes together in just a few minutes!
We like to eat this smoked chicken salad right out of the container! And it also goes great on some toasty sourdough bread. YUM.
The Ingredients
- Smoked chicken breast (2 pieces). You'll need to smoke your chicken first. Here's our smoked chicken recipe. You can also used smoked whole chicken.
- Mayo (3/4 cup). Use your favorite mayo brand.
- Celery (1/2 cup). A refreshing bite with a nice crunch.
- Red onion (1/2 cup). For a sharp, mildly sweet flavor.
- Dried cranberries (1/2 cup). For a sweet, tart taste.
- Almond slivers (1/2 cup). For a nutty, earthy touch.
- Salt & pepper. To taste.
The Directions
1. Take your smoked chicken, and give it a good dice.
2. In a large bowl, combine and stir the smoked chicken, mayo, celery, onion, cranberries, almonds, and salt & pepper.
3. Put it in the fridge and let it sit for 30 minutes for the ingredients to meld together.
4. Serve the chicken salad on its own in a bowl, or on toasty sandwich bread. ENJOY!
Storage Tips
- To Store. You can store this smoked chicken salad in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup almonds slivers
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Take your smoked chicken, and give it a good dice.

- Fire up your smoker to 225F degrees. We're using mesquite pellets for this cook, but use whatever you have.
- Put it in the fridge and let it sit for 30 minutes for the ingredients to meld together.
