Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef 80/20
- 1/2 yellow onion diced
- 1/2 tbsp Lawry's Seasoning Salt
- 8 oz Velveeta cheese cubed
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a pan over medium heat until browned. Remove with a slotted spoon, leaving grease behind.
- Sauté onion in the same skillet until soft and translucent.
- Combine beef, onions, BBQ rub, Velveeta, cheddar cheese, ketchup, and mayo in a small cast iron pan. Stir until the cheese starts to melt.
- Smoke the dip for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
- Top with pickles and serve warm with chips or veggies.
Notes
- Make it spicier – Add diced jalapeños or some hot sauce for a little kick.
- Add bacon – Crumbled crispy bacon takes this dip to the next level.
- Use different cheeses – Swap cheddar for pepper jack or smoked gouda.
- Make it creamier – Add a little sour cream if you want it extra creamy.
