Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20
  • 1/2 yellow onion diced
  • 1/2 tbsp Lawry's Seasoning Salt
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese cubed
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Cook ground beef in a pan over medium heat until browned. Remove with a slotted spoon, leaving grease behind.
  • Sauté onion in the same skillet until soft and translucent.
  • Combine beef, onions, BBQ rub, Velveeta, cheddar cheese, ketchup, and mayo in a small cast iron pan. Stir until the cheese starts to melt.
  • Smoke the dip for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
  • Top with pickles and serve warm with chips or veggies.

Notes

  • Make it spicier – Add diced jalapeños or some hot sauce for a little kick.
  • Add bacon – Crumbled crispy bacon takes this dip to the next level.
  • Use different cheeses – Swap cheddar for pepper jack or smoked gouda.
  • Make it creamier – Add a little sour cream if you want it extra creamy.
